Old Town is our deepest framing resource: the full Frame Library, conservation framing, specialty work and the main framing workroom. If the piece is high-end, valuable, sensitive or simply needs more design options, this is the studio.
The project decides
High-end is not a medium.
An important photograph can need as much design attention as a painting. A rare print can need more preservation thinking than a large canvas. We route the project by what the piece needs, not by a simple list of media.
Come to Old Town when the piece is valuable, sensitive, difficult to replace, conservation-oriented, unusual, technically demanding or important enough that you want to see the widest possible range of framing ideas before deciding.
Old Town also makes sense when the project itself is simple but the design needs are not—an interior designer matching a sophisticated room, a collector refining a presentation, or a client who simply wants to explore the best options available.
The Frame Library
The broadest design selection is in Old Town.
This is where the full Image & Frame library comes together: contemporary profiles, hardwoods, metal, period frames, gilded and closed-corner work, unusual finishes and decades of accumulated references.

Finished-corner and specialist work
Carved, gilded, patinated and historically informed frames when the artwork calls for something beyond a standard length moulding.

Old Town is the preferred studio for conservation framing and for high-value or sensitive pieces where mounting, glazing, enclosure depth, reversibility and handling matter as much as the visible frame.
Valuable photographs & prints
High-end photography, rare prints and important editions belong here when preservation, glazing or a more ambitious design presentation matters.
Original fine art
Paintings, works on paper and mixed-media pieces can be evaluated with the full range of framing and conservation considerations available.
Textiles & objects
Support, depth and mounting methods are developed around the actual piece rather than forced into a standard frame formula.
Oversized & difficult
Large scale, unusual weight, structural requirements and installation constraints can be planned before fabrication begins.

Walk-ins are welcome. For several pieces, complicated work or a long design session, an appointment lets us protect the time.
